"Courage To Continue"

As a Christian when we are convicted by the Holy Spirit and He shows us a sin, it doesn't mean that we have failed God.  Afterwards, a voice of failure will always come with guilt.  That voice is the voice of the accuser of the all Spirit-filled believers and he is attempting to make you fall away from God's word. That voice will whisper in your ear to keep you down. The word of God speaks to us in 1 John 1:9, "that if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
That Godly principle in 1 John 1:9 applies to any Spirit-filled Christian.  When we fall into sin and the Holy Spirit convicts us we should immediately bring that sin before God. Yes, confess it to Him and ask Him to forgive because sin separates us from having a personal and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Forgiveness is a act of faith.  We may not feel forgiven.  It takes time, and a precious tender God through His Spi…

Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up [a]and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, [b]make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” 6 So he [c]made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. 7 But when they saw it, they all [d]complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”

Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and…

Taking the Horns of The Altar

I sense in my spirit that the Holy Spirit is calling us into a deeper fervency of intercession and expectation.  It is quite more than saying a prayer here and there.   I believe God is desiring us to be passionate and specific. What I mean by deeper intercession is "taking the horns of the altar of prayer and not letting go until the forces of heaven come upon the scene." Grabbing the horns of the altar is where a explosive transaction takes place between heaven and earth. The right kind of prayer is where humble people do business with God sober and vigilantly!!  There is no other way for us as Christians to pray. God desires to hear more from us than some little mousy prayer. He wants to pray with all our heart and soul.

I had to do some studying on this phrase, "Taking the horns of the Altar."   I had always heard the saying but I wanted to get a better understanding and vision for this statement.  In the Old Testament there is a certain piece of furniture…

When God Speaks

Hearing God's voice can be difficult, when there are so many voices to contend with in this world.  It is not always the loud voice that you hear in your mind. I know that is the way it is for me.

As you are aware, hopefully, there is a spirit realm around us. Either we are hearing God speak or we are hearing satan's voice. Resist satan's voice and walk according to the voice of the Lord Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We have to put to death the deeds of the flesh. The voice of sin will speak to your carnal nature. You do not want to follow that voice. It will only lead to the destruction of your flesh. As a Spirit filled believer, you are obligated; you will be led to obey the instruction of God and it will not be anything that is against the word of God. Everything you hear, I would encourage to take it to the scriptures. Remember that it will always line up. If anything you hear goes contrary to what the holy scriptures say, I would definitely not listen to t…

This is only A Test

Sometimes it is very difficult to have a positive outlook with what is going on around you. It would be safe to say that God does not tempt us but He does test us to see if how we are going to do with the test.

What does the word of God saying about testing?

Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, 3 for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete. James 1:2-4

That's my favorite verse these days it seems.

God does test us, and sometimes those tests are very hard. Did everyone ever have a class in school where they got a easy A?

I always am greatly encouraged when someone goes through something devastating but their faith is strong. They are still standing and still leaning on God, standing on the promises in the word of God.I wonder how they do t…

Crucified Power

I bear the heaviness of my cross as I walk that mile up Calvary's Hill.   I hear them yelling "Crucify Him!"  I feel their spit and their spite.
Then I am plunged in the hot air  I feel the painful strains of my flesh being torn apart,  as my cross is put on that hill  I bow my head in shame...
I want to live yet I yearn to die that cross has laid me bare.  Yet I know those all-consuming words,  "Forgive them they not know what they do." It is finished it is done why do I feel forsaken.
For those I love I was made a curse,  and hung upon that tree.... not spared but die in the darkness for all the world to see.
That dark and empty tomb I was buried no one knew the truth nor conceived the fact, that I would be back
But then that resurrection power, came in that tomb with such force It awakened my lifeless body glorified by the Father's mighty power
The Holy Spirit gave me life for all the world to see I'm now seated with my father and satan is finally under my feet.
How I sing …

In The Stillness....

When it seems that you are hitting a brick wall, that is the time to seek God.   Come into a attitude of worship and just be still in His Presence.  At times that is all it will take, and allow the sweetness of his grace to touch your heart.

He wants to break our walls down, and touch us intimately if we will allow Him to do that.

Be very sensitive to His Holy Spirit, soak in his love and peace -- bringing healing into a fragmented mind.
We don't always have to be talking or get hyped up to experience Gods manifest presence. He just wants to be with us in the worshipful quietness of the morning air.
He wants us to get to know His Presence in a upfront way... intimate and personal.
I believe God does get quiet, and then we wonder why isn't He talking? He just wants to be near to us and keep us company. He desires to sit on the throne of our hearts.
What is a attitude of worship? God is at the center of our worshiping heart.  I believe our mi…

God's Amazing Grace in My Life...

I was thinking yesterday, and Yes, that can be a dangerous thing sometimes. HA. I was thinking about all the mistakes I had made in my life. My big blunders seem overwhelming at times. I feel like the worst possible human being on this earth. Like the song says, "WRETCH."  How can the Lord spare me after all i have done, intentional or not. Believe me, I can make a list...

Through the awesome grace and delivering mercy of JESUS CHRIST, He has ransomed us from the clutches of sin and death! He has set us free from the chains, and set us on the mountain of His Presence.

Our feet are firm and our foundation sure. He has truly forgiven us of our mistakes from our yesterdays! It is never too late for being forgiven as we have a change of heart, he sets us free from the mistakes of the past....whats done is done, and I cannot change things what I can and have done is had a character and attitude in Richard through repentance.

Jesus has spoken to me, and told me that H…
